Araku Coffee

I love traveling.  It helps to have relief from routine struggles of life and enjoy leisure.  People spend a lot of money to visit new places, to relax in beautiful environment and explore Nature’s secrets.   Travel industry provides pleasure to people interested in discovering wonderful world.  In some parts of the world, tourism is so well developed that it forms the main source of income of that place.  Tourism provides employment to all categories of people depending on their ability to serve the tourist.  Not only the star hotels but the road-side hawkers and food vendors also eke out their living serving the tourists.

Many times on the journey to the destination via road there will be many stalls of local artifacts or food.  Araku valley in Vishakhapatnam of AP has many coffee plantations.  On the way to Araku on the road-side are coffee sellers.  The coffee is made from fresh coffee powder and dairy milk. The taste of coffee is so excellent that the aroma lingers in mouth for a very long time.

We had coffee on return journey from Araku.  Here is the woman who had a kerosene stoves and tin sheet to protect the flame being put out in the open air.  She had fresh coffee powder with her.  On ordering six cups of coffee, she lighted the stove, boiled some water.  He husband got half-a-litre of dairy milk packet which she emptied into a bowel and heated on another stove.  Within half an hour she made sizzling hot coffee, the aroma filling the air around, made everyone active.  The cup of coffee relieved everyone of the tiresome journey to and from Araku.
