Every year Bollywood and Tollywood produce so many movies. In general all these movies have same theme, a love story with a family feud. Rarely do we get any inspiring movies. We occasionally get few movies with ‘clean’ entertainment and artistic value. As far as I remember I haven’t seen any commercially viable movies with educational values in the past ten years.
When I saw ‘Chak de’ I was very much impressed. I felt this movie is not only interesting and entertaining but has definite educational value. Quite a few points noted in movie are inspiring to all. This movie, I feel, a must watch for all and students in particular. The important facts I could appreciate in this film are
-Defeat is humiliating. Bounce back like a ball.
-Be Indian first. Spirit of national pride should be first step in the development of character.
-Be brave. Fight back for right cause. People will join you.
-In a team victory and loss belongs to all equally. Interpersonal clashes should not result in loss. Your failure is blemish on you and loss to all.
-Every person has special talent. All put together leads to victory.
-Concentrate, analyse, anticipate – success is yours.
-Girls be brave. Help yourself that will lead to empowerment.
-Family is important. Career gives you identity.
I wish all school children are shown this movie and various characters to be discussed and learn lessons from it.
