Political Parties - Biased High Commands

The contestants in Telangana are declared.  Canvassing by all the parties is zooming.  People of Telangana should think twice before casting their vote for assembly and parliament. 

Telangana statehood decision is taken and the appointed day is 2^nd June this year. Before this, the elections results will be out.  There are so many undecided issues in the division of the state, the most important being employment, water and educational opportunities, not to forget the burden of joint capital and governor’s rule in Hyderabad, a poisonous nail in the body of Telangana.  The decision on these issues will be decided by the Telangana and Andhra P assemblies.  Telanganites should not forget the dubious way by which Hyderabad state was merged with Andhra to form Andhra Pradesh in 1956.  It took sixty years, more than 1500 lives of youth sacrificed and unrelenting agitations to get demerger, that too with unconstitutional riders.  The fate of Telangana state depends on the decisiveness of the Telangana assembly and its leader.  This vote impacts the Telangana future generations. 

In Telangana the main contestants are two national parties and two regional parties.  These parties are influenced by the interests of their ‘high commands’.  The high command of Congress is in Delhi under Sonia Gandhi.  The core committee decides all the issues in Delhi with an interest to gain more seats not only regionally but nationally.  Priority is given for Central power.  The members of core committee are influenced by regional satraps.  The treacherous Seemandhra congress MPs who agreed to abide by high command decision on Telangana have unabashedly sprayed poisonous gas on the speaker and members of parliament to immobilize and scuttle the introduction of Telangana bill in parliament.  For people of Andhra origin their high command is not party, it is their property; their region and people stand next as they have to get elected from their region by their people.  In view of retaining their wealth and power they consider Andhra people as their high command. The Telangana congress MPs are ever abiding to their high command in Delhi and  to the Seemandhra junta in AP.  They think they can buy Telangana votes with money as people here are poor and get influenced by money and liquor and vote whoever pays them more.  Telangana agitation did bring some change here, the results in by-elections stand evidence.

BJP is the other national party which again operates from Delhi. The central committee has Venkaiah Naidu as a member who is a Seemandhra.  His strong influence and collusion with Chandra Babu Naidu has made some BJP leaders to say not to bring forth the Telangana Bill in the last parliament session.  When Sushma Swaraj said that she did not know that Telangana Bill is introduced in Loksabha every Telanganite felt as backstabbed.  The negative feeling continues.  Chandrababu Naidu and Venkaiah Naidu together prevented the formation of Telangana in 2002 by BJP government.  Again together created as many hurdles as possible to prevent the smooth passage of Telangana Bill in both houses of parliament.  They are the forces behind the declaration Hyderabad as Joint capital for ten years.  If BJP wins and Naidu is at helm of affairs we do not know what amendments will be made in constitution to make Telangana state a subservient to Seemaandhra. 

TDP is the important regional party; high command Chandrababu Naidu was intolerant to hear the word Telangana.  His high command is Andhra people and whatever decisions he takes it is only in the interests of that region.  The other regional parties YSRCP, Jai Samaikyandhra Party and Janasena party high commands are all Andhra leaders and their priority is protecting the interests of Andhras.  Not to forget is the Loksatta Jaya Prakash Narayan who though won from Kukutpally in Hyderabad, Telangana, never ever spoke about resolving the issue of Telangana, and never supported Telangana.  His roots are in Andhra, though he calls himself intellectual, he is blinded by his love for his Andhra brothers. 

The other important regional party is Telangana Rashtra Samithi, TRS, born for Telangana, to achieve Telangana.  This is lead by K.Chandrashekar Rao.  The entire family got involved in agitations for Telangana statehood.  For TRS Telangana people are high command and TJAC can influence it in taking major decisions.  Their primary interest is working for the benefit of Telangana and its people.  The TRS government when formed will work to get the rightful share in employment and strive to get rid of unconstitutional riders imposed on Telangana under the influence of Andhra leaders. 

Progressive development of Telangana can be achieved only by the people of Telangana who believe that their power is in hands of Telanganites directly.  People in parties under the leadership of Andhra leaders cannot take decisions individually.  Their Andhra leaders' biased decisions will be directly or subtly be imposed on Telangana. 

For Telanganites this is a crucial election.  Their vote will make or mar future of Telangana.  New born Telangana must be in the hands of its natives and not with those who hate to utter the word Telangana, whose roots are in Andhra or other regions.

Seemaandhra Resolution

January 30^th 2014 will be worst ever day in the life of Shri Chandrababu Naidu.  He might have prepared marathon speech to present in the AP assembly.  He wanted to boast about the development of Hyderabad.  He thinks himself to be the architect of Hitec city and without him there wouldn’t have been ITES in Hyderabad.

 

When AP State Re-organisation bill was introduced in the AP state assembly, on the same day he was given opportunity to speak on the bill by the Hon. Speaker.  Though the speaker called him twice he never responded.  He encouraged his party people to create chaos in the assembly and council by shouting slogans.  As dodging the issue till the last minute is his way of dealing any important issue he postponed his talk.  As and when possible he supported anti-Telangana views and raised serious objections against Centre’s role in solving Telangana issue and also questioned the authority of Union government on states.  He encouraged AP CM Shri Kiran Kumar Reddy to move a resolution to reject the bill under rule 77 of state assembly.  He probably, in fact, wanted to mislead or fool the CM as that rule cannot be applied to the bill that comes from the President, the constitutional head of Indian Government.  But Kiran Kumar Reddy, after he spoke against the bill for three consecutive days, sent resolution to reject the bill by voting in assembly to Speaker on 25^th of January.  Chandrababu Naidu wanted to speak on 27^th and strongly present himself as the only shrewd politician working in the interest of Andhra people.  But his instigation to reject the bill by CM has boomeranged and Naidu lost an opportunity to boast his credentials in development of AP State.  He lost historic opportunity to speak for the last time in the last assembly of United Andhra Pradesh.

Chandrababu Naidu’s failure to act as a responsible leader and fulfill election promise to form Telangana state has lead to the death of more than 1000 Telangana youth.  He doesn’t deserve any better place in the history of Telangana State formation.

Finally Hon. Speaker Nadendla Manohar had done his bit as a Seemaandhra person and gained sadistic pleasure and accolades from Seemandhras.  On the last day of United AP State assembly he very quickly spoke of the ending of discussions on Telangana bill and forwarding the results to Centre.  In the same breath, without waiting for a fraction of second he said that the resolution given by Kiran Kumar Reddy as a resolution from AP government and passed it with voice vote.  Everything appeared as pre-planned.  Though the members were not seated and surrounding the podium and were in the well of the house the Speaker without even reading what the resolution has asked for voice vote and passed it. 

Now the world can understand how much Telangana people suffered under Andhra rule and the reason for formation separate Telangana state.  

Chandrababu Naidu - Dielemma

A leader should be strong, physically and mentally, able to take decisions with brain, be unbiased and be able to carry his followers in unity with him.  He should have a comprehensive outlook towards a problem and decision should be taken with a vision to progressive development.  I thought Chandrababu Naidu is a politician with vision.  Present situation failed him as a leader who can take tough decisions.  He has become insane by repeatedly invoking emotional views, talking of two eyes and two sons.  In the emotional storm he is moving rudderless.  He is being carried away by the strategy of a rogue politician and political party.  He lost all his sanity and is simply aping a junior politician who is not acquitted of his financial crimes. 

As a leader he is not able to convince his cronies the decision taken in their politburo after extensive deliberations.  Seemandhra politicians are not acting in the interest of people of both regions, Andhra and Telangana.  They are thinking about their personal benefits.  Andhras separated from Madras as they felt being treated inequitably by Tamalians.  They did not learn lessons from that separation.  They never tried to work and develop their identity and their Andhra State.  Instead they influenced the Union government to form Andhra Pradesh on linguistic basis.  What they learnt under the British rule and what they suffered in Madras they practiced in Telangana and subjected Telanganites to discrimination and finally a stage had come that Telanganites have achieved separate state and Andhras have to pack up to their place. 

Andhraites who boast of developing Hyderabad of Telangana in their rule should now try to develop entire Andhra into a new planned state and prove their capabilities.  They have an opportunity to establish their long cherished identity and dignity by developing their new state of Andhra Pradesh into a model democratic state.

Chandrababu who had vision 2020 for Andhra Pradesh previously should think of his future state and its development.  Though I dislike him for the way he had come to power, imposing taxes to continue welfare schemes and then discontinuing the schemes, and by dodging Telangana issue causing death of more than 1000 youth of Telangana, I thought he is the only Seemaandhra politician who can plan to promote residuary Andhra Pradesh into 2050, if only he has strength to take decision and abide by it.  But what is happening now presents gloomy picture of TDP and its leader.  Chandrababu Naidu is not fit to be a leader.  A person who cannot solve an issue, who fails to present to people clear picture of situation and guide them, steer them out of ambiguity and desperation, can never be their ruler.  Chandrababu should now quit politics and enter ‘vanaprastha ashrama’. 

Sakala Jana Bheri

Tomorrow is the first ever government permitted Telangaana public meeting in Hyderabad.  As the Andhra government has held APNGO’s public meeting under its auspices a few days ago, might have felt the obligation to permit TJAC public meeting.  Previously all Telangaana meetings in Hyderabad were held only after the court permission given few hours before the meeting imposing many restrictions.  The government on its behalf in the name of maintaining law and order would create hurdles to the people coming to the meeting by canceling all public transport systems, making house arrests and bind-overs and precautionary arrests, threatening people that government benefits will be cancelled. I hope tomorrow people can reach the place and attend/participate in the Sakala Jana Bheri peacefully and happily and make it a grand success.

More than half a century struggle has led to the announcement of demerger of Telangaana from Andhra Pradesh which was formed conditionally and experimentally on false promises and linguistic basis.  The experiment failed.  Promises broken, finally, the democratic struggle of people of Telangaana have made the central government to concede to the demand of Telangaana state with Hyderabad as its capital. 

The Congress Core Committee declared its decision on formation of Telangaana on 30^th July, 59 days ago.  That’s all.  Since then there is no further activity towards implementing this decision.  Under the leadership of Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy Seemaandhra politicians instigated agitations in their region to negate CWC decision.  It is atrocious that people do counter agitations with a demand to continue their subjugation of people of one region in a democratic country. 

Recently I read the likening of Telangaana state birth is in the process of delivery, suffering labour pains.  The birth of Telangaana is achievement of a democratic right in a democratic way.  I feel this labour is unduly prolonged.   The labour has turned out to be obstructed causing anxiety to all concerned.  In case of obstructed labour, to save mother and fetus emergency surgery is done.  In a teaching institute (strong decisive central government) patient is never allowed to land in obstruction for that increases feto-maternal morbidity and mortality.  If it is a corporate hospital, the management first wants money to be paid. The corporate hospital (CWC) is more worried about the financial aspects than the condition of poor woman. .  Husband (unscrupulous politicians) doesn’t mind if the woman dies for he can remarry with more dowry.  He is rather wishing that woman should die.  Now it’s the duty of the team of doctors who are taking care of the woman.  The team of doctors (various parties supporting Telangaana) along with the team chiefs – the surgeon TJAC and anaethetist (BJP), on humanitarian grounds make the hospital management (Congress) to support immediate surgical treatment and Telangaana be delivered safely without any morbidity to mother or baby.

Sakala Jana Bheri is a preparatory step for surgery – and early delivery of Telangaana.

I hope Telangaana will be a reality very soon.
