This blog was written almost two weeks ago. Actually I wanted to post it on 17th of this month. But I could do it today.
The changes that are taking place in Telangaana in the past three weeks are remarkable and historic. The unexpected demise of Prof. Jaya Shankar Sir was shocking to all Telangaanites. He is synonymous with Telangaana. Every Telangaanites felt like losing their god father.
Knowing about him made me feel that he is born with the purpose of freeing Telangaana from oppression. He lived in Nizam’s Telagaana, aware of ‘rajaakaars’, armed struggle, lived in Telangaana that has become part of Indian Union, and Telangaana which continued to struggle for self rule and self respect in Andhra Pradesh ruled by Seemaandhraas. He was part of Telangaana agitation in 1969. He preserved and spread his vast knowledge about the loss of Telangaanites and the plundering of various resources of Telangaana by Andhra rulers. Being a teacher, he always spread his knowledge for the benefit of students and younger generation. His efforts of 60 years finally started giving results with formation of Telangaana Rashtra Samiti under the leadership of Shri K. Chandra Shekara Rao. He always worked for redeeming Telangaana from the shackles of Andhra rule. His dream was the coming generations should live in Telangaana ruled and developed by Telangaanites, a socialist Telangaana.
Now he may not be living. But the knowledge and guidance he left behind are the acting forces to direct Telangaana agitation to reach its goal. I feel his spiritual guidance has made all the elected representatives to take the present course of action. His blessings from heaven will help us achieve Telangaana state in due course of time.
Jaya Shankar Acharya’s teachings are like Geethaacharya’s teachings to Arjuna.
Jaya Shankar sir is now called as ‘Father of Telangaana’.
Jayaho Jaya Shankar.

In December 2010, when the Indian government has backtracked on its word to initiate the formation of Telangaana state fearing blackmail politics and succumbing to the weight of money bags from Seemaandhra capitalists’, except the TRS MLAs all other MLAs refused to resign fearing the wrath of their party ‘high command’. They gave different reasons, the ruling party saying that they have faith that the high command will definitely give separate state and the other part with Seemaandhra person as its chief pointing that unless ruling MLAs resign they will not resign. This fiasco had finally ended when the Congress MLAs decided to resign en masse on 4th July 2011. The TDP MLAs also resigned half an hour early so as to gain people’s faith.
What precipitated the resignations of Congress MLAs; I feel it is the spiritual power of Jaya Shankar Acharya that had driven them to take a confirmed stand on separate Telangaana. Now for all the MLAs this step is no turn back step. They all should see to it that Telangaana state is formed shortly or get out of the parties and join people in their agitation.
Prof. Jaya Shankar said once that telangaana in not given by any political party. The people of Telangaana will struggle and achieve it. Amen.

Telangaana struggle has come to a stage that every person living on the soil of Telangaana has to take a stand on this issue. All the people’s representatives have to express their solidarity toward the cause of Telangaana state formation. More than 90% tendered their resignations and are behind people. Like elsewhere we too have a few black sheep. I wish MIM MLAs resign and join the people of Telangaana and make all Muslims feel authentically part of this historic struggle.
It is good gesture of Secunderabad MLA, a native of Andhra, has resigned respecting the sentiments of the people she is representing. Here I should mention about a man who always speaks of rights and responsibilities and constitution, and talks of bringing governance to the public, who wants smaller units of governance, never gives a clear stand on the formation of separate state of Telangaana. This man, who always speaks of the corruption in political parties and politicians, is blind to the oppression of Seemandhraas rule on Telangaanites. He fails to stand by his own principles of bringing governance to people. Since my awareness of the worldly goings I find him as the greatest hypocrite of this generation. Every telangaanite can understand who this intellectual personality is. This is Mr. Jaya Prakash Narayan. This name a generation ago had commanded immense respect, as the man with that name had led a revolution to bring down a dictatorial prime minister. This man also with magnanimous intellectual jabber had gained some good reputation. Now this name makes me understand the changing times and the hypocrisy in the present society.

Politicians always do things that help them to gain power. Though they talk of benefitting public who form the vote bank, the benefit they gain is more than what public get. The needs of the people and their agitation to fulfil it are used for political gain. Public interest stands secondary.
Many people say had there been Rajashekhar Reddy the present turmoil in telangaana would not have occurred. May be true. This turmoil wouldn’t have happened now but would have been delayed for some years. He knew the peoples desire for Telangaana, being a factionist from Seema he could have suppressed it like he had killed almost all the naxals who were called for a discussion to join the mainstream society. Nature knew his power. Nature knows the struggle of Telangaana people. Where people cannot act, nature acts.
Chandra babu Naidu, a back stabber, thinks him to be shrewd politician. His principle of two eyes and squinted vision has caused 600 deaths of Telangaana youth. Even today he doesn’t have a clear cut policy. He encourages Telangaana MLAs to resign and at the same time holds meetings with Seemaandhra representatives and encourages them to counter Telangaana agitation. He will have to become blind in due course of time. He needs political crutches in future to survive in Andhra politics.

All the political parties speak of democracy and people’s rights. They talk big as if carrying out the welfare of the people on their shoulders. The pathetic situation in Andhra Pradesh is that, people talking of retaining Andhra Pradesh have respect for the aspirations and emotions of Seemaandhraas, but not for that of Telangaanites. Demanding their rightful share in employment and development in Telangaana is treated as an act of militancy and treason. They want to suppress this genuine demand by deployment of BSF and CRPF. The activity that is going on in Osmania University clearly presents the state of affairs in Telangaana region of Andhra Pradesh. Osmania University being the nerve centre of Telangaana agitation, the AP government wants to suppress their activity of life in toto by confining them to the campus by fencing around it and not allowing any outsiders into the campus. All their activity is strictly under the police surveillance. On slightest pretext the police resort to lathi charge, tear gassing and firing with rubber bullets directly on to the person causing physical injury. Their unprovoked hurting of the students physically and chemically will cause future health problems in victims. The activity at OU is directly affecting students at the place and indirectly it is making all the people in Telagaana to make a strong resolution to fight till separate state is achieved. The more the oppression the strong is revolution.

All the political parties in AP, the regional and national are aware of the plight of Telangaana, all accepted that separate telangaana state is a genuine demand. In view of their political mileage no party is taking a concrete decision. They are all more worried about their party gains in next elections. Just to pos pone the issue a committee was sent to AP for wide consultations. But the Krishna committee report has turned out to be a ‘nikrushta’ (worst) report. It had taken into consideration of the majority Andhra people’s opinion and admitting that the Telagaana demand is genuine and suggested ways to suppress it. Justice Krishna is not the Krishna of Dwapara Yuga. He is the Krishna of kaliyuga and sold out to money bags and could not side the righteous demand. He could be measured by money bags but not by 'Tulasi'.
The political party at centre is more worried about its numbers and power play. They seem to be least bothered about the disturbed lives of people in the state. Academic, social and professional life is getting disturbed. There is uncertainty always. The centre should take a decision and put an end to this turmoil. It should impose strict party discipline. The party with two eyes should have proper vision and bind its MLAs by it. It should not play carrot and stick policy with Telangaana issue, allowing Telangaana MLAs to resign and at the same time funding and encouraging rented Samaikyaandhra agitation.
Telangaana people still have faith in the democracy. It is time for the parties in the centre and state to take proper steps to end this turmoil and bring peace into the lives of Telangaana and Seemaandhra.

Now a new party has held it’s plenary. It is again a ‘vaarastwapu’ (hereditary) party. Everybody was eagerly waiting to know the stand of the party about telangaana. The son of the father, like his father has respect for Telangaana sentiment, and incapable of taking a decision. Like son, like father. A man who joined a rival party to protest against Telangaana formation in the parliament has concrete opinion in his mind. Every politician respects Telangaana sentiment, understands the genuinity of the demand but hates to lose fiefdom over it.
Telangaana is not a simple sentiment. This is struggle for existence. Do not belittle it calling a sentiment. This struggle for existence goes on as long as there is life.
