Malala Yousafzai

The United Nations has declared 11th October as International day of the girl child.  The girl child faces discrimination from in utero.  The birth of the girl is unwanted and woman is not treated as human.  In this world, I feel, every rule and law is framed by man.  Only man decides what is good for woman.  Some people, in the name of religion, want to make woman completely subservient to man.  They think that the duty of woman is to feed and bed man.  Her body is meant to provide services to man and act as birthing machine.  They do not think that the body of woman has brain which can think and wants to act independently.  A woman acting independently is a threat to society of men and needs to be eliminated.  A kid, who wants to get educated and advocates education to girl children, becomes the target of fanatics.

All religions teach love, tolerance and peace.  But people in the name of religion kill people.  Even kids can’t escape their wrath.  Young or old who work for the betterment of human race are godly.  I pray for the speedy recovery of Malala Yousafzai.
